How do I remove: "Windows cannot find C:\PROGRA~1\SOFTWA~1\soproc.ex...

After I uninstalled Norton Symantec Antivirus 2005 %26 installed AT%26T Yahoo! Online Protection on my Windows XP SP1 I always receive the error message during startup.

How do I remove: "Windows cannot find C:\PROGRA~1\SOFTWA~1\soproc.ex...antivirus programs

In my spare time I test antivirus an antispyware program to see if they perform as claimed. Or if they have hidden embedded trojans or adware.

Nortons has always been pure garbage for many years and each an every year continues to get worse.

You may think that when you went to add/removed, Nortons it is not true. My testing of this program showed that it was pure junk in the ability to find any virus installed or remove the virus.

What was even worse trying to uninstall Nortons. I did just what you did, add/remove Nortons. Only to find out that Nortons will leave you with atleast 350 fragments of their program glued to all of your files/folders. Worse of all some of these fragments are hidden in you system. (They just hate you when you remove their program).

It was a living hell trying to get the 350 fragments out. If you go to run and type in: c://program files, click on browse, click program files and open and look for "symantec", I think you are going to still see the file there. An I doubt if you will be able to delete the file as it will say, "file in use, unable to delete".
