Hi,

I am preassuming that, Internet Connection Gateway Icon was'nt appearing when you earlier used to connect to the internet. From your ISP (broadband) provided modem/router. Although you connect through LAN connection Icon in Network connections.

I too had this problem, but on my account it disappeared or got disconnected by doing the following:

1. Enabling and Disabling the LAN connection.

2. Turning off and restarting computer.

3. Enabling / Disable Modem and the switch it OFF and ON once.

Please note, If you have single computer connected to Broadband internet, through a modem or router, your gateway is 192.168.1.1 or the device you use to connect to the internet. It is however possible that someone on your same line may be using the same device for connection. It depends on the type of connection you have from the ISP.

I would recommend you and myself for security reasons, to call up the CUSTOMER SUPPORT team of yours and mine ISP, and inquire about this gateway connection.

Bye n God Bless!
