How can i reactivate windows firewall deactivated by norton antivirus 2005?

When i was installing NAV it came with the option "use norton firwall instead of windows'" checked so i left it like that now i want back my windows firewall back but it seems theres no way to reacttivate it back. i have uninstalled NAV 2005 but still the buttons in my firewall are dimmed and i cannot activate it. it says my firewall settings are governed by a certain groupe policy which i cannot figure out. antbody has the same problem? can anybody help?

goto local computer policy, computer configuration, administrative templates, network, network connections, windows firewall, standard profile.

double click windows firewall: protect all network connections, click enable, apply %26 ok.
