I was using Norton 2005 but it is no longer available and my program got corrupted. Is there something up to date that's actually compatible with the horrible Windows ME OS?

Microsoft no longer supports Windows ME, and I highly suggest you upgrade your Operating System to Windows 2000 or better if your computer can handle it.
Anyway, McAfee VirusScan 4.5.1 SP1 is the most up to date (and currently still supported) Anti Virus software that will run on Windows ME.
It's only available for download on College Campus's at this point, so you may have to search eBay for a used copy. You're probably not going to find one though.
Seriously, your best bet is to upgrade your Operating System, and if for some reason your computer can't upgrade beyond ME, you should just invest in a new PC which can be found pretty cheap these days, only a couple hundred dollars.
