I use windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and I am having problems with the entire window coming up when I open a link. It creates a new window however the three boxes in the upper right (reduce, expand, and close) icons don't show up. I have to go to the toolbar and close the window and reopen it in order for them to appear. It's a bit tedious to have to keep doing this. Is this a virus causing this?? I have Norton Antivirus, and advances Windows Care and they don't detect any viruses......Any suggestions?

Try this as suggested on the OneStepSearch website...
In order to uninstall our software, and to restore your browser to its default search settings, please use Add/Remove Programs to ensure a complete un-installation.
From your Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs.
Locate OneStep Search and highlight.
Click on the Remove button.
Once the uninstaller has completed, you will be prompted to reboot your computer.
Reboot and see if that takes care of the problem...
Then-
Download, install Update and run a couple of these anti-spyware scanners...these will help you.

You might want to try to reinstall or fix the Media Center.
